Five Helpful Social Media Tips

Five Helpful Social Media Tips

These social media tips will steer you in the right direction to hone in and focus on your goals for your practice.

1. CHOOSE THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM(S) MOST POPULAR FOR YOUR CUSTOMER DEMOGRAPHIC.

It’s important to make sure your catering to the right audience.  Think about who your ideal customer is, and where they would “hang out” online. (view more details in this blog post)

2. BRANDING SHOULD BE CONSISTENT ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS.

Make sure your brand is consistent across all of your social media profiles as well as your website.  The color scheme, fonts, and images should all be consistent so that your customers are familiar with the practice the minute they land on the page.

3. POST OFTEN, BUT DON’T OVERSATURATE YOUR AUDIENCE.

In this digital age, news moves quickly online.  Something that you posted this morning may not be visible tomorrow.  Make sure you’re posting often to stay “top of mind”, but not posting so much that your customers get annoyed and unfollow your practice.

4. USE KEYWORDS TO TARGET YOUR CUSTOMERS.

The term “keywords” falls in the realm of SEO.  This is one thing that helps your practice gain more views online (organically as well as paid advertising).  Make sure that you’re using the language that your customers would use to search for a practice like yours.

5. BE GENUINE!

People are drawn to things they relate to on a personal level.  If you’re posting things that your audience doesn’t understand, they’re most likely not going to be interested in interacting with your brand.  Make sure you’re connecting with your customers not only in a professional way, but showing them your practice’s personality as well.
